Mama Sita’s Sinigang Sa Bayabas 40g

Mama Sita’s Sinigang Sa Bayabas is a souring mix used to prepare traditional Filipino sinigang, a tangy soup. Made with guava (bayabas) extract, it imparts a distinctive, sweet-tart flavor that enhances the broth. This mix is typically combined with meat, fish, or vegetables, along with water and other ingredients, to create a flavorful, comforting soup that is a staple in Filipino cuisine.

Guava powder 43%, salt, cane sugar, tomato powder, flavour enhancer E621, acidity regulator E330, modified strach and flsvour enhancers E631, E627

SINIGANG SA BAYABAS RECIPE (MAkes 4 servings)

In a saucepan, combine 3 cups (750 mL) water, 1 piece quartered small onion, 1 piece quartered small tomato and 1 pouch (40 g) Mama Sita's Guava Soup Base (Sinigang sa Bayabas) Mix. Brng to a boil. Add 1.1 lbs (½ kg) fish (preferably bangus "Milkfish") and cook until almost done. At this point, add 2 cups (200 g) vegetables (kangkong or long green beans), cut into 2' lengths, and 2 pieces (15 g) finger peppers, continue cooking until fish is opaque and flaky and vegetables are done. Add fish sauce to taste. Serve hot.

Store in a clean, cool and dry place.
