Purple Round Eggplant 500g

 A compact, rounded eggplant with smooth, glossy purple skin and a green leafy cap. Its pale, spongy flesh has a mild, slightly earthy flavor and softens when cooked.

Uses: Roast, grill, bake, or pan-fry it; add it to curries, stews, pasta, and stir-fries; or stuff and bake it. It also works well in dips and spreads.

Storage: Keep it unwashed and dry in the refrigerator’s produce drawer, preferably in a loosely open bag. Use within several days for the best quality. Avoid cutting it until you’re ready to cook, since the exposed flesh can brown. If it feels soft or shriveled, or has mold or a bad smell, discard it.
